My aim is to promote sustainable development in Africa through language, linguistics, literacy and literature. This involves providing consultancy, training and mentoring, serving all who believe that language choice is a key component in development.

Work of this kind requires a holistic approach to applied linguistics, identifying, investigating, and offering solutions to language-related problems in the real world. It can be summarised in the framework of four of the UK Charity Commission's charitable purposes, namely, the advancement of education, cultural diversity and heritage, community development and science.
